By BRS Staff
Early in 2011, Black Rolling Stones Enterprises has been making major moves in all aspects of the company and a solid street team is needed. Black Rolling Stones includes management, a record label, a film company, and a clothing line. Currently, BRS is looking for people who are willing to work hard to ensure the company is properly promoted in the Harlem home-base.
This summer, Black Rolling Stones will begin a heavy promotional run for A-Thug, as he prepares for the release of his The Signauture album. Outside of the Black Rolling Stones record label, a major promotional campaign will soon begin for BRS Clothing, as the search for new models for the clothes is set to begin in the next few weeks.
In order to be a part of the Black Rolling Stones street team, one has to be able to accept constructive criticism and be willing to learn. Being a part of the Black Rolling Stones street team means being able to attend all of the events BRS is invited to. This will provide the opporunity to brush shoulders with some of the bigger names in the hip hop game and in New York City.

The Tale of Two Rappers in New York City
Thursday, March 3, 2011
New York City is known as the place where dreams come true. While dreams come true here, there is also struggle and a bit of pain. For two rappers, A-Thug and 50 Cent, this was the case.
The whole world knows 50 Cent, and diehard fans know of his background. But, the rapper the fans need to know about is A-Thug. Ever since 2003, he has been doing the same things 50 has done.
However, the only difference between A-Thug and 50 Cent is that A-Thug has done everything out of his own pocket. 50 Cent had been trying to break into the game for nearly five years before he landed his major deal with Interscope Records. A-Thug had also been grinding, but he took a leap of faith and recorded an album without any help and he released it.
50 Cent is known by many as a savvy businessman. Only a month ago, he landed an endorsement deal with the headphone line, Sleek, and he purchased stock in the parent company. The stock ended up making him a quick $8 million. But, had 50 Cent not first landed the lucrative deal with Interscope Records, none of his business ventures would be possible.
From the start, 50 Cent has had the support of major companies. G-Unit Records was possible because of the support from Interscope Records. G-Unit Clothing was possible because of the support from Ecko. The defunct G-Unit Films was also another venture backed by Interscope. But, across town A-Thug was building his empire from scratch.
A-Thug used his resources and put together his debut album and released it under his Black Rolling Stones label, a true independent record label. Soon, he set up shop as a street vendor and he sold his album to the people. In the coming years, he added a clothing line to his list of ventures. Black Rolling Stones Clothing was funded through the sales of his albums.
In 2008, A-Thug also launched Megastar Films to go along with his other businesses. Megastar Films was born from the profits from his other two ventures. While A-Thug does not have the money of 50 Cent, he can boast of running three profitable businesses under one umbrella company without the backing of a major company. Everything he makes is his own, the only thing he truly lacks is exposure.
On the streets of Harlem, A-Thug is one of the most popular rappers and he has a solid following throughout the rest of New York City. Once more people learn of the BRS movement, more people will be tuning in to see what new moves A-Thug will come up with. He is the only rapper in the game making partnerships with local businesses throughout the city.
While major label artists make charitable donations, A-Thug is actually in the streets and doing positive things, helping to rebuild local economies. In 2003, two rappers from New York City took matters into their own hands and both have become successes. Eight years later, 50 Cent is no longer with Interscope and A-Thug is pushing his career to the next level, already considered a veteran in the game. Read more...
A-Thug inspired by Event at The Apollo in Harlem

Regardless of who you are, everyone has had a dream at one time or another in their life. As a child, people dream of doing all kinds of things. Usually, as the years begin to catch up and adulthood comes, reality sets in. Sometimes the dreams change and sometimes the dream dies.
Aaron McBride had a dream of making it big as an entertainer when he was a child. When he got older, the dream remained, but it was much harder than he expected. Soon, he learned he was not a quitter when he stuck with it and pursued his dream. Now, McBride is running a profitable business.
Recently, McBride attended an event in Harlem, which featured guest appearances from Daymond John and Common. While he liked the appearance from Common, Aaron McBride found himself more inspired by Daymond John. He feels as if he has more in common with John because his story featured more of a struggle, much like his.
Daymond John was the brain behind FUBU clothing. In the late 1990s, FUBU rose to fame with a major endorsement from LL Cool J. John worked overtime just getting LL to model his product. For years, he produced the clothes from his own house. Initially, Daymond John gave away the products for free, but later he began charging and made good money from it. Without the backing of a major company, FUBU soon became the prominent clothing line for the hip hop community.
Even after seemingly falling off, FUBU is still going strong, but on an international scale. The clothing line is still doing very well in the United States, now known as FB Legacy. Much like John, Aaron McBride had the dream of making it big. First, he established himself as a rapper and he later expanded his company to include other ventures. By 2006, he had his own clothing line, BRS Clothing, which has done relatively well over the past few years.
Despite doing relatively well, Aaron McBride sees bigger things for his clothing line coming up in the near future. Soon, he sees stores in Harlem selling his products, having it hanging up in their windows. From there, he sees stores across New York City and the world selling his products. As his profile, as a rapper, grows bigger and bigger, McBride sees BRS Clothing becoming one of the top clothing lines in the hip hop community, alongside FUBU. Read more...

By BRS Staff
Everything set into motion has been a long time coming. The Black Rolling Stones began as an outlet for one man to release his album. What began as a dream soon included a studio and an album. From there, the movement grew and other artists were added to the label. Before long, Black Rolling Stones Ent. was one of the biggest independent record labels in New York City.
Once one goal is reached, it is important to have another one set. Life is a series of problem-solving and when the problems are over, life is essentially over. True Black Rolling Stones are not looking at the end, they are looking for the next problem to solve. After all, problems are nothing more than opportunities and the Black Rolling Stones team has and provides many of those.
Upon building solid buzz as a record label, Black Rolling Stones Enterprises expanded into video production and clothing work. Now, Megastar Films is behind a successful series with Megastar DVD. In addition to the DVD series, Black Rolling Stones Enterprises is also over Black Rolling Stones Clothing, which has become quite successful over the past few years.
Last month, Black Rolling Stones finally organized all of the ventures into one website. Now, things have been taken a step further and the BRS movement is officially Facebook official. To check out the brand new page on Facebook for Black Rolling Stones, click here.

We Are The Independent Movement
Friday, January 28, 2011
Other companies claim to be independent, but have backers. Black Rolling Stones Enterprises is the ultimate movement, controlling the streets of Harlem for eight years. What initially began as one man's dream has helped so many other people.
In 2003, Black Rolling Stones Enterprises was launched as an outlet for A-Thug to release his music. Following successful releases from A-Thug, the label soon began selling other forms of merchandise.
In 2006, Black Rolling Stones Enterprises branched out into clothing with the launch of BRS Clothing, which has been a major success. If a person were to take a trip through Harlem, they would see people dressed in the atire. The clothing has pictures of all of the Black Rolling Stones logos, including a picture of the CEO, the ever-popular A-Thug. After years of being successful in Harlem, the goal is for the BRS movement to take things international.
In 2008, Black Rolling Stones Enterprises launched the successful Megastar DVD, which is preparing to release its fourth and fifth installments here in the next few months. Aside from the DVD series, Black Rolling Stones is also producing a series, which will broadcast on Hip Hop Vibe, sometime late this year, or early next year.
